Black Mountain Arts is a ministry of Meridzo Center that seeks to bring worship to the mountains of Eastern Kentucky through music and visual art. At this time, BMA is hosting visual arts classes for ladies every Monday and Tuesday from 6-8pm at the old Lynch Bathhouse. BMA is also hosting guitar and piano lessons every Monday and Tuesday from 5:30-8:30pm at C3 Church in lower Lynch. As BMA expands to offer free children and youth classes in the near future, please know that all money given for the adult classes goes to cover the expenses of those classes. We would love for you to join us but space is limited! Please see below for more information on classes and how to sign up.

Visual Arts Classes

We are currently offering visual art class in acrylic painting and watercolor painting (no experience needed). Our classes are for adult or youth women and are held on Monday and Tuesdays from 6-8pm. We will soon be adding bible journaling classes and free children's art classes, so be sure to check back to often for updates on when those classes will be available.

Each of our visual arts classes are comprised of 3 different sessions with 1 session being each week. For example, if you sign up for our Monday acrylic class that begins Feb. 13th at the 6pm time slot, that class will meet Feb. 13th, 20th, and 27th at 6pm. Our visual art classes cost $30 per person for the 3 sessions. Individual sessions are available upon request and cost $15 per person for the 1 session.

Join our current classes or schedule a session by contacting Susan Nichols at susan.nichols@merdizo.org!
